Do I need to create a separate creator account from my primary account?
You can use same account to upload presets with as you download other authors’ presets as well as interacting through the comments section on those preset banks.
If you already have an account, there’s no need to create a separate creator account. You can set up your creator profile from your dashboard.
Why is two-factor authentication required for creator accounts?
There are two reasons for requiring two-factor authentication for creator accounts. Firstly, it adds a valuable layer of security to your account, which is especially important for those who don’t just download presets but also upload content to Preset Galaxy. The other reason is that it dramatically reduces the amount of bots that might exploit Preset Galaxy in order to upload malicious content.
Downloading
How do I install the presets I’ve downloaded?
The downloads are delivered as ZIP files, which can be extracted in macOS and Windows without needing any additional software. The exact process of importing the resulting preset files into their associated plugin varies, but usually involves moving the files to a designated preset folder for that plugin. Unless the installation instructions are indicated in the preset bank itself on Preset Galaxy, you will need to read in the plugin’s manual or search online for the correct location to move the presets to.

I want to upload a preset for a plugin that isn’t listed. What do I do?
No problem! Head over to the Preset Galaxy Discord channel and request it. It’s difficult to keep track of all the great new plugins being released, so your participation in keeping Preset Galaxy’s plugin database up to date is invaluable.
